Lake Compounce

We took a mini-vacation to Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT. Our good friends the Rees' Family came with us. This is a super cool amusement park that is built around a lake.  You can swim in the lake, they have water slides, roller coasters, rides and games!

Cal and Kinsey with the finished product.  All day long people would come up to the girls and say how pretty they looked.  They loved it!!!

This is at the end of the day and we found a water ride at the other side of the lake.  Ashley coerced me into to going.  I knew we would get super wet and didn't want to.  But Callie said, "Come on mom, it's alright!"  So we went and Andrew stayed behind to watch the babies for us.  We were soaked!!!  Luckily Cal's face paint didn't get completely ruined!

This is the name of the awesome roller coaster we went on.  It was probably the best ride I've taken on a roller coaster.  It goes up the hillside that surrounds the lake and comes down the other side.  This was definitely good local fun!

We've Had A Birthday Shout Hooray!

Callie is now 4 years old!!!
She wanted a Spongebob party and cake. We blew bubbles, colored and tossed water balloons at a movie target (aka Andrew)! Cal loved every minute of it and asked if she could have another party.

Andrew and I got Cal a new bike with training wheels and a Pillow Pet! She has been asking for a Pillow Pet for months. We got her the Unicorn one and she LOVES it. I asked her what she was going to name it and she said, "Sweetie Pie!"

Independence Day!!!

A family in our ward had a 4th of July party on Saturday! We had a great time! The weather was great and the kids had a blast.

Here's Cal and her BFF Kinsey playing with water squirters. They got us a couple of times and laughed their heads off!

This party was so cool it even had an inflatable water slide! I thought Cal wouldn't do it, but she loved it! I think having her friend Kinsey there helped her get over her fear!

I think this was the first time Cal ever got this close to a big dog before. She is normally terrified of them and runs crying and screaming. I was so proud of her to pet the dog.
