Guess what?

Here is the first outfit I just had to buy!

So...in October I had the sign and symptoms of a little bun in the oven. I waited until I thought I was about 10 weeks to make a doctors appointment. I had my appointment last thursday and was shocked by the results!

It was just my first visit so I didn't have Andrew come along because a nurse was just taking care of paper work. Well I told the nurse that I was guessing that I was 10 weeks because I was having problems and haven't had a period since the summer. She thought it would be a good idea to have an ultrasound to make sure of my weeks. She called over to the technician and they had an opening right then. I left the nurse and walked over to another building for a quick ultrasound to confirm my 10 week guess. The first thing the technician said was, "well...you're not 10 weeks, you're 18!" I was like, "WHAT?!?!" I had no idea I was that far along. Then she said, "Do you want to know what you're having?" I couldn't believe it! After my appointment I called Andrew and told him what had happened! I am still in shock that I am half way through my pregnancy and I didn't even know! I'm due May 12th and having a baby boy!

We are very excited!

Jack Frost nipping at your nose!

We have snow in Portland! We've been enjoying watching the snow and taking walks in it. We tried taking a walk today, but after 2 minutes Callie asked to go home. The winds picked up and it felt pretty dang cold out there!

Halloween (Spooky!!!)

This is my first post (I am Andrew, Amy's awesome and very cool husband). It is 3:00 in the morning and I can't sleep, so I thought I would surprise Amy and post something.

This picture is self explanatory. However, I must say, my precision carving paid off in the end.

The finished product. What a lovely family.

This is my favorite family picture ever. These are our serious faces. For some reason, Callie is doing her famous Tai-Chi moves. Amy, well...her face has been stuck like that for some time, the doctors are baffled. (I love you Amy)

We went all out this year and decided to dress up and decorate our car for the Trunk or Treat. We bought some dry ice to create the fog effect and we brought our superbly carved pumpkin. The bowl of candy was covered with the fog and some of the kids were afraid to reach in, it was awesome. We had a blast at the Trunk or Treat and we get to do it again at Amy's parent's ward this Friday.

This was fun blogging, I might just do it again if Amy doesn't change her password on me.

To the Pumpkin Patch!!!

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch!

With their silly fun photo stations!

And Haymazes!

They had this awesome slide at the end of the maze that sent you flying! It was just a black tube, but its honestly the best slide I've ever been on!

Luckily they had bags of hay to catch your fall.

They also had a great petting zoo area. Pigs, ponies, chickens, bunnies and turkeys! We had a lot of fun. And tonight I think we'll carve our pumpkin!

"Under the Sea"

We took a family trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport last week. I was trying to explain to Callie what we were going to see. The only thing I could come up with to explain it best was that we were going 'under the sea'. She got really excited and wanted to see Ariel! So then I had to explain that we probably wouldn't see Ariel there, but we would see lots of fish and seals. Thank goodness she was still excited!!!

This is a 'Dory' type fish and a creepy eel!

A puffer fish

They had this really cool tank that you could walk under and pop up in the middle to see the fish. Too bad in this picture there are no fish to be seen.

These were called 'Japanese Crabs' which are the biggest in the world. And I was totally creeped out. This picture does not do them justice. They are actually the size of half my body and could easily take me out. I still get chills just looking at them!

Here's Cal checking out some small 'Jelly Moon fish'!

Callie loved the hands on stuff. She thought this 'grass' was fun to touch!

We set our camera on a rock and took a quick family photo.

This was the trainer lady feeding the seals and having them do tricks. That was pretty fun to watch.

They had a little playground of aquatic creatures to play on. Here's Cal at the top of a whale slide.

Then after the aquarium we went to the old town of Newport to look at the seals. They were loving the sun and we got to see them fight over portions of the dock. Callie said they were too loud!

Water park fun!

We heard about a fun newer park downtown and decided to check it out. We've been wanting to take our own pictures for Cal's 2 year photos, so Andrew brought the camera and we had a lot of fun having Callie pose.

Here she is hugging a tree!

She loved climbing on these stone steps at the park.

Cal is whispering in the ear of this bear statue. I have no idea what she is telling that bear, but i bet it's funny!

Here she is riding the bear.

The park had lots of art work and I'm not sure what this red thing was, but Cal liked climbing through it!

This is also a 'water' park with a big fountain and pool area to play in. It was a bit chilly, but Cal had to get her feet wet!

Here's a mid-motion picture!
This was good practice and Andrew is already thinking of new places to take Cal's photos!
We're definitely coming back to this park again...I just wish we had heard about it before summer was over!
