We are homeowners...almost!!!

A couple of months ago Andrew and I got the itch to get out of an apartment. We worked the numbers, talked to a loan broker, contacted a realtor and voila...a home!!! Okay, maybe not that easily, but it was a lot more simple than I thought it would be. We found a great deal on a foreclosed home in Vancouver. We are more than excited to stretch out in a bigger home with a GARAGE!!!! I'm sooo ecstatic about the storage space and kitchen! We will be closing on March 6th and moving that weekend. We're going to miss this area, but I am not going to miss living in a dang apartment! HA HA HA

Here's a pic of me and our realtor out front after inspection.

Here's my new kitchen!!!

It begins....

We officially started "the training" for Cal last week! So far a huge success!!! For the past 6 mornings she has woken up with a dry diaper and successfully tells me when she needs to go. She is really excited to be a big girl and loves the new princess panties we bought her! There has been the occasional accident which she freaks out at. I have to laugh because she'll come waddling over to me like she's been riding a horse all day in panic because she didn't make it to the potty. At first I didn't want to go anywhere for fear of her going in her pants at the store, but she is definitely a pro now at the big girl potty! Hooray!

Rock Star anyone?

Okay...I'm not one to get into the whole celebrity thing and read the latest in magazines, but when I see a star in person I always get excited!!! We were at Costco the other night and when we were checking out I spotted the lead singer of Everclear, Art Alexakis! I wanted to say something, but he was with his woman and little girl. So I kept my mouth shut. He's also a lot shorter in person than I would have thought him to be.

This sighting totally brought me back to my high school days when I tried to see Tanya Harding around town. Everyone I new had seen her...sadly I never did! But I did know where she lived...Dang I'm starting to sound like a stalker. Anyhoo, thought I would just share my night at costco.

Guess what?

Here is the first outfit I just had to buy!

So...in October I had the sign and symptoms of a little bun in the oven. I waited until I thought I was about 10 weeks to make a doctors appointment. I had my appointment last thursday and was shocked by the results!

It was just my first visit so I didn't have Andrew come along because a nurse was just taking care of paper work. Well I told the nurse that I was guessing that I was 10 weeks because I was having problems and haven't had a period since the summer. She thought it would be a good idea to have an ultrasound to make sure of my weeks. She called over to the technician and they had an opening right then. I left the nurse and walked over to another building for a quick ultrasound to confirm my 10 week guess. The first thing the technician said was, "well...you're not 10 weeks, you're 18!" I was like, "WHAT?!?!" I had no idea I was that far along. Then she said, "Do you want to know what you're having?" I couldn't believe it! After my appointment I called Andrew and told him what had happened! I am still in shock that I am half way through my pregnancy and I didn't even know! I'm due May 12th and having a baby boy!

We are very excited!

Jack Frost nipping at your nose!

We have snow in Portland! We've been enjoying watching the snow and taking walks in it. We tried taking a walk today, but after 2 minutes Callie asked to go home. The winds picked up and it felt pretty dang cold out there!

Halloween (Spooky!!!)

This is my first post (I am Andrew, Amy's awesome and very cool husband). It is 3:00 in the morning and I can't sleep, so I thought I would surprise Amy and post something.

This picture is self explanatory. However, I must say, my precision carving paid off in the end.

The finished product. What a lovely family.

This is my favorite family picture ever. These are our serious faces. For some reason, Callie is doing her famous Tai-Chi moves. Amy, well...her face has been stuck like that for some time, the doctors are baffled. (I love you Amy)

We went all out this year and decided to dress up and decorate our car for the Trunk or Treat. We bought some dry ice to create the fog effect and we brought our superbly carved pumpkin. The bowl of candy was covered with the fog and some of the kids were afraid to reach in, it was awesome. We had a blast at the Trunk or Treat and we get to do it again at Amy's parent's ward this Friday.

This was fun blogging, I might just do it again if Amy doesn't change her password on me.

To the Pumpkin Patch!!!

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch!

With their silly fun photo stations!

And Haymazes!

They had this awesome slide at the end of the maze that sent you flying! It was just a black tube, but its honestly the best slide I've ever been on!

Luckily they had bags of hay to catch your fall.

They also had a great petting zoo area. Pigs, ponies, chickens, bunnies and turkeys! We had a lot of fun. And tonight I think we'll carve our pumpkin!
