Today was the longest day of the trip in terms of miles and time on the road. We left Rapid City, South Dakota at 7:45 a.m. and arrived in Rochester, Minnesota at 8:20 p.m. Surprisingly, the kids did great and it wasn't as bad as we were expecting. The beginning of our journey took us on a little detour through Badlands National Park. It was beautiful.
When we got into Rochester, the kids needed to get out a lot of energy. We ran down the halls of the hotel and then went swimming for a while. They crashed as soon as we got them in bed.
If any of you are wondering what's on Leif's cheek, he has an infection that we have been battling for two weeks. It is now beginning to get better.

poor guy =( But goodness he is a little cutie!! I feel like I don't even know him that big! He looks almost as big as Parker, crazy!!
Wow that was a long drive.. glad you made it safe with no troubles. Those look like some pretty bad lands!
